BHG is a privately held company set up in 2008 by the ex directors of 8bit Games Ltd.
8bit Games Ltd. was formed in 2003 to develop mobile games with console style quality and content.
For over 5 years 8bit created some 30+ games based on the biggest brands for the world's top publishers, including Colin McRae Rally 04, Lemmings (Voted game of the year by the readers of What Mobile magazine), Cluedo SFX, Davis Cup Tennis, James Bond Trivia, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hollywood Hospital.
In 2004 8bit was nominated for best handheld studio in the Develop Industry Awards.
In 2008 8bit/BHG designed and developed the highly original PS3 game Elefunk, published on the PS3 PSN by
Sony Computer Entertainment.
In 2009 BHG launched their first iPhone games on the iTunes store and became licensed Nintendo DS and Wii developers. Developing Grease for 505 Games on Nintendo DS/DSi.
In 2010 BHG launched their first games for PSP and PS3 Minis.
In 2011 BHG completed Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 iPhone/iPad for EA games and work began on International Snooker 2012 to be released on PC, Mac, PS3, PS Vita, XBLA, iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Mobile.
In 2012 BHG is opening it's Newcastle development studio.
